From the Quitumbe terminal, you can utilize two bus services: Transportes Mejia (Green) and Carlos Brito (Purple). This bus costs under 1$ so make sure you have coins. You must then transfer at the Mercado Central stop in Machachi, and catch the El Chaupi bus, located in front of Supermercados TIA. This bus comes every 30 minutes and costs less than 50 cents. The bus will drive past a statue of a woman milking a cow. Once you see this, your stop will be next. We can either meet you at the bus stop, or simply walk around the corner, where you will see our lodge: Iliniza Lodge!
From El Trebol, (An easier location to travel from if you are staying in Old Town Quito), you can catch the same buses, without having to travel all the way to the Quitumbe terminal, which is much farther south. You can then follow the same instructions as you would if departing from Quitumbe terminal, transferring in Machachi for a bus to El Chaupi. See you soon!
